Installation Guide (video demonstration above)
Congratulations on your new artwork! We're here to help you with a simple step-by-step guide to make the installation process a breeze. You'll find all the fittings you'll need included in the package. Let's get started:
We provide you with three convenient options to hang your artwork:
- Screw into a brick wall: This method involves securely fastening your artwork using screws on a brick wall.
2. Screw into plasterboard: If you have a plasterboard wall, you can easily hang your artwork by using screws designed specifically for this material.
3. Self-adhesive solution: No drills or screws needed! With this option, you can effortlessly attach your artwork using the self-adhesive backing, making it a hassle-free installation process.
Choose the method that suits your preferences and enjoy displaying your artwork in no time!
Here's what you'll need:
- Cordless drill or cordless/manual screwdriver
- 6 mm drill bit
Included in the hanging pack:
- 1 x cleat (hanging bracket)
- 2 x red raw plugs
- 2 x plasterboard fittings
- 2 x screws
Step 1: Choose your preferred hanging method
We offer three options for hanging your artwork. Simply select the one that suits your needs best:
Option 1: Screw in with wall plug for brick walls
- Position the hanging cleat on the wall where you want to hang the artwork. Use a level guide to make sure it's straight.
- Drill two marker holes where the pre-drilled holes on the template are located.
- Remove the cleat and drill two deep holes using a 6 mm drill bit.
- Insert the red raw plugs into the holes.
- Put the cleat back in position and securely tighten the screws through the template holes.
Option 2: Screw in with specialist dry liner screws for plasterboard
- Place the hanging cleat on the wall where you want to hang the artwork. Use a level guide to ensure it's straight.
- Drill two marker holes where the pre-drilled holes on the template are located.
- Remove the cleat and position the plasterboard fittings in place.
- Slowly screw the fittings into the plasterboard until they are tight. Be careful not to over-tighten.
- Put the cleat back in position and securely tighten the screws through the template holes.
Option 3: Stick with adhesive (only for walls in good condition)
- Position the cleat where you want to hang it.
- Remove the adhesive backing and carefully place the cleat onto the wall. Use a level to ensure it's straight.
- Note: The adhesive is very sticky, so it's important to position it correctly the first time. It can be difficult to remove cleanly if placed incorrectly.
- Once the cleat is in position, apply pressure for 30 seconds and then wait for 1 hour to allow the adhesive to bond to the wall.
- Important: Do not use the adhesive option if your wall has flaky or damp paint, exposed brick, or specialized paint like silicone/silk. The adhesive is strong, but we cannot be held responsible for artwork falling off walls. If you're unsure, use the screw options or consult a professional.
